The MRCI Thrift Shop is a volunteer operated, professionally managed retail business selling new and used donated clothing and household items to the public in its 12,000 square foot building on Sioux Road in Mankato, MN.
The MRCI Thrift Shop is a social enterprise of MRCI in partnership with the MRCI Auxiliary. All funds raised provide the financial resources to ensure MRCI’s mission of providing genuine opportunities for individuals with disabilities in our community is fulfilled. We are proud to share that your donation stays local.
More Than Five Decades of Impact
The MRCI Thrift Shop began with a 1963 rummage sale that just kept going and growing. With more than 30 volunteers, the first shop was opened June 15, 1964 in downtown Mankato. Today, more than 110 men and women regularly volunteer their time sorting, pricing, and selling items. Additional volunteer help is always needed.
